SSRTA worked together with DCNR at Bestline's Open House on April 26, 2008 to provide DCNR certification training for youths 8 through 15 years of age. SSRTA members and DCNR certification trainers Terry & Eileen Long, Eric Brooks, Justin Long, Dave Walker, and George Holt coordinated their efforts with Ed Kitchen, DCNR Forest Ranger, in providing the training to 15 participants. Tread Lightly was incorporated into this year's training.
